Collier-Keywood gets top PwC role

Richard Collier-Keywood has been appointed managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, in the first of new senior partner Ian Powell's key appointments.

Collier-Keywood, 46, is currently head of tax and a member of the current management board. He has a colourful background, having helped set up tax regimes for war-torn African countries in the 1990s, and was one of the four candidates for the senior partner job. He was admitted as a partner in 1992 and is a barrister and fellow of the ICAEW.

He will start his new role on 1 July.

Powell said: 'I'm delighted that Richard will be working with me as managing partner. Richard has led the tax practice superbly over the last few years and I know he will make a significant contribution to the leadership team in his new role as well as continuing to serve some of our largest clients.'

Collier-Keywood said: 'The firm is in great shape and we have a fantastic opportunity to build on our achievements to date. I'm looking forward to working with Ian to play my part in ensuring that we deliver consistently outstanding service to our clients through attracting and retaining the best people.'
